An excellent post! More posts like this, please!!

Illinois wasn't always the Dead's most stormin' state though - if you've listened to the smoking 4/27/69 and 7/7/69 shows you realize the Electric Theater shows were just warmups!

There are some neat shows coming up though.....although 8/23/71 is not the best aud recording, 10/21/71 has a lovely Dark Star; and then there's a bunch of classic '73 shows, one of the rare '74 Dark Stars in Chicago again, a great June '76 run with lots of fine moments, the great '77 shows......lots of strong shows after that too!

Don't forget 10/22/71 has made a very recent appearance after being MIA for years and years. Just the 2nd set from Auditorium Theatre in Chicago but a 5 star gotsto have!!
